An example of such a woman is the very talented writer, producer, director-actress Issa Rae who emerged as the winner of Women In Film- Emerging Entrepreneur Award. Besides the glamorous fashion statements, acceptance speeches are what we look out for during award shows. We have still not gotten over Issa speaking her truth when she said without batting an eyelid during the 2017 Emmy Awards red carpet that she was, " rooting for everyone black".
